Hardy Mountain Herbal is a family-run tea shop, apothecary, and small-scale herb farm in Grand Forks, BC, devoted to the slow wisdom of plants. Founded by herbalist Amy Neels, whose twenty years of practice are steeped in tradition, intuition, and lived relationship with the land, the shop is lovingly tended alongside her daughters, Emmie and Averie — their laughter and bright presence woven into every market day and open door.

Hardy Mountain Herbal grew from a longing to live surrounded by family, closer to the earth. We believe plants speak softly but carry powerful stories — of healing, resilience, and belonging. Each cup of tea, each jar of salve, each carefully blended formula is an invitation to slow down and remember that we, too, are part of nature.

At Hardy Mountain Herbal, we are dedicated to organic ingredients, stewardship of natural spaces, and inclusive, community-centred care. Our work is guided by ancestral wisdom, understanding that plant medicine has always lived in the hands of women — passed from mother to daughter, through kitchens and gardens, across millennia. We honour those unseen lineages each time we blend, steep, infuse, and craft.

We prioritize organic and locally sourced ingredients and cultivate many of our herbs on-site using chemical-free growing practices. By growing rather than wild harvesting, we help protect the delicate ecosystems that sustain our region, honouring the reciprocity at the heart of herbalism.

All our products are formulated and handcrafted in small batches, with close attention to quality at every stage — from seed to packaging. We welcome visitors into our space, offer custom blending, and are honoured to share our herbal preparations with our community.
